    Galena is steeped in history but not frozen in time. Nine Civil War generals called Galena home, including U.S. President Ulysses S. Grant. A friend of President Grant, Lucius Felt and his wife Catherine visited the Grants at the White House. Tour the Ulysses S. Grant Home and visit the Galena and U.S. Grant History Museum.
