The Stable Studio nears completion
Introducing the Stable Studio! The Stable Studio is located on the lower level of the Coach House in the former horse stable. Combining rustic charm with accessibility, the Stable Studio has a private accessible entrance with a reserved parking spot.
The Coach House won the prestigious Galena Preservation Award in 2018. Although construction on the Stable Studio was started during the Coach House renovation, it was never completed.

re-framed the shower to meet accessibility requirements
re-wired the unit and installed new light fixtures
installed a mini-split so that heating/cooling is independent of the Coach House upstairs
installed sound insulation and decorative acoustic tile
installed beautiful custom floor, shower, and wall tile
installed beautiful luxury vinyl tile flooring
installed new interior doors and accessible door hardware
installed new shower head and accessible hand-held shower
installed accessible sink, mirror, and toilet
installed grab bars in the bathroom and shower
Our window (that was ordered last fall) was supposed to be delivered this month. We just learned it was back-ordered to December because of supply chain issues. So we ordered a different window. Hopefully, that will come in on time. We’re also waiting for a new exterior door to be delivered and new concrete patio to go in.
If all goes well, the Stable Studio will be ready for booking before the busy summer season!
