Front porch progress

The views from the front porch of Felt Manor are simply stunning. You can see for miles over city rooftops to the rolling hills of Galena Country beyond. It’s easy to understand why the Felts chose to build their home here in 1850.

All of the brick arches supporting the front porch have been completely rebuilt — brick by brick — by our amazing team. The masons re-used as many of the original bricks as they could and replaced damaged bricks with the iconic red ‘Galena brick’, which look unbelievably close to the original. They took great care to match the original arch details. And even matched the color of the mortar, so it all blends beautifully.
